剧情简介：

The story takes place in New England in the 1730s. Due to the failure to agree with the church, the devout Puritan William (Ralph Yin Eisen Ralph ineson) is expelled from the plantation and forced to move to a deserted place with his wife Catherine (Kate Dickie) and a group of children. They started from scratch and went through hardships, while the accidental disappearance of their infant son left a lingering shadow on the hearts of the family. The weather was bad, the crops were poor, the relationship between the couple was strained, Catherine thought of the missing child, and her spirit nearly collapsed. During this period, tomasin (Anya Taylor joy), the eldest daughter who felt that she was mainly responsible for the disappearance of her child, was in a heavy mood. Soon after that, her younger brother kelleb (Harvey Scrimshaw), suffered from witches in the deep jungle and was mentally deranged.
